The Great Gate Company offers a professional installation service for railings that you have either purchased from us or from elsewhere. When you buy installation, we will come and measure up for free. Professional installation and measuring up take all the worry out of buying railings and we take responsibility for ensuring that your railings will fit.
There are a number of different kinds of fixings and we will determine which is the most appropriate method of fixing in consultation with you. If you have a preference, please select it below when you order.
The cost is inclusive of all fixings and materials.
The most common types of fixings are as follows:
Bracket fixing to an existing wall
The most common type of fixing either to an existing brick or stone pillar or house wall.
Panel Fixing
Often used where the walls are lumpy stone and you need some flexibility on the length of the fixings between the top and bottom. Our professional installation team use a sleeving technique to conceal the fixings.
Base plate or resin fix to the top of the wall
If the railing is longer than 2 metres it may need additional supports (long legs), which can be fixed with resin into the top of the wall.
If you have a query about which type of fixing might be best for you, please call Sue on 01761 568084.
Extended Top and Bottom Rails to fix into brick pillars
This kind of fixing is usually only possible if the railings are being fitted into the brick pillars as they are being built.
